Charlie made his first scones and George a chocolate cake!

The flag was from HMS lllustrious which was given to George and Charlie as a gift from their cousin who served on the ship.

In reception Mrs Flavell let them have a day off school to see HMS Illustrious come into Portsmouth - it was a very special day..

The Dormer side of the family have all served in the Navy so yesterday was very important for us all to remember the sailors and soldiers who have served our country.

Me and my dad built the hurdle for my beautiful dog Lotty from scratch! There are different levels of difficulty and Lotty is up to three nails up. Though sometimes she is a bit cheeky and noses the stick off the nails and walks over it! Even then, she is the best dog ever and always makes me laugh and have fun.

I hope you are well and many thanks, Neve.

A Letter from Mrs Dolman 5.5.20

Dear Year 6

I'm really missing you and Mrs Newlin. Miss your happy faces and working in the classroom with you all.

I'm desperate to read the rest of the The Sun King to you. Does Lil go to Egypt? Does she break the curse and save her Grandad? Have you finished Wonder? Would you recommend it to other children? I have nearly finished 'The Wild Beyond' , the last book in the 'Last Wild Trilogy', I would highly recommend Piers Torday his stories are very adventurous. Another author I like is Emma Carroll, I have 'When We Were Warriors' to read next. My favourite books this year were Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend,  thrilling magical stories with a strong heroine character.

I have been busy doing online courses in psychology, behaviour management, equality & equity and speech & language. I have spent a lot of time baking; brownies, cakes, scones and bread. I'm still working out with Joe in the mornings, I hope you are too! Most days, weather permitting, I go out for an hour on my bike.

Hope you are all working hard, I have loved seeing your hard work on the blog and your photos.

Enjoy your time at home and stay safe.

Love Mrs Dolman xx

PS I brought the book home and re-read it on Sunday - Mrs Newlinx

Hi Mrs Newlin and Mrs Dolman,

I hope you are ok.

I thought I’d send you some photos of a few of the things I’ve been up to.

I made a fairy door like the ones I’ve found on our walks through Bryanston woods.

I’ve done lots of baking with my mum. My favourite is the chocolate cake.

Every morning I do PE with Joe Wicks. We haven’t missed a single day yet. I’ve been out on my bike and have been on lots of walks too.

My dad and I camped out in the garden one night. It was great fun. We had hot chocolate and played cards.

It’s quite fun being at home but I am missing my friends and family.

Stay safe

Love from Charlotte.

Hello Mrs Newlin,

Here are some pictures of the things we’ve been doing over Easter, we’ve been for some lovely long walks and we found a old hydrant on our way down through Milton abbas, we’ve had balloon fights, and me and mummy tried building a robot, I didn’t have a hair band on a hot day when we went out so mum created a great hair pin with a stick, we saw sheep and lambs on our way to the farm shop and they made some funny noises, we did an Easter egg hunt on the garden.
We’ve had such great weather so we’ve been able to get a lot.
Hope you had a great Easter.
Brooke

 Hi Mrs Newlin,

Freya here, I just wanted to say that it was my birthday yesterday( I am now 11 yrs old)and I miss everyone sooooo much! Hope you and Mrs Dolman are ok. I hope to see you all again soon! From Freya XXX 😊😊

Good morning Mr Marklew and Mrs Newlin,

Today is Olivia-Rose's 10th birthday, she's a little sad at not being able to celebrate in the way we normally do, but we're trying our best to still have a fantastic day under the circumstances, she's missing all her friends enormously and can't wait to have a big party after lock down.

We hope everybody is well and staying safe, we would love to share what we've been up to for the last few days, it took 7 hours each to do but it was worth it in the end.

Stay safe,

Gracie-May & Olivia-Rose x

Junior Bake Off!

31.3.20

Good Morning Mr Marklew and Mrs Newlin,

Well its been a busy week here at the Stedham School of learning, we've been busy doing all our home learning and last week we made the most of the sunshine in the garden. Yesterday afternoon we had our own junior bake off. We both baked our own cakes, zero help from mum, and they tasted amazing! Mum couldn't decide which was best. We're missing our friends and being at school, but Alfie our pug has been helping with our home learning, he needs an afternoon snooze afterwards though!

Dear Mr Osborne and Mrs Newlin,

We have been very busy with our school work every morning, our new teacher isn’t too strict either! Some days have been tricky as our internet has been playing up!
We have also been growing seeds, doing Easter crafts, baking, playing games like boggle, the Lego challenge and going out for a long walk with our dog Lotty.
We both are missing school and our friends and look forward to being able to return soon.
Stay safe.
From Orla and Neve.
