What a successful and fun-filled two days of Forest School. Our children enjoyed a wonderful range of hands-on activities: woodwork, cooking, natural art, bug stations, seed planting and clay mindfulness. Two days filled with creativity, curiosity, learning and plenty of outdoor fun. A huge thank you to our wonderful Miss Maese for planning, organising and resourcing such a fun-filled experience for all our children. Also our parent volunteers, who were absolutely brilliant. Sun, sea, smiles and so many happy memories! Our annual whole-school beach trip was a fantastic day filled with fun and laughter. We enjoyed paddling and splashing in the sea, digging holes in the sand, building amazing sandcastles and sharing lunch together under the gazebos. Healthy Lunch Challenge! In Design & Technology, Year 3 explored what makes a healthy lunch by using the Eatwell Plate as their guide. They analysed different lunch ideas, planned balanced meals, prepared a variety of foods, then tasted and evaluated each one. A fun way to build cooking skills, make healthy choices and learn through practical experience! #education #year3 #dt #healthychoices #foodpreparation

In DT, our Year 1 children learned all about preparing food safely. They practised good hygiene, carefully prepared their own healthy salads and then enjoyed eating them together outside in the sunshine. What a fantastic afternoon for our KS2 girls! A huge thank you to Steph and Tom from AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust for visiting our school and delivering free football coaching sessions for our Year 4, 5 and 6 girls. We're still not over our incredible Year 6 production of Matilda Jr! We were so lucky to have had such a talented professional photographer preserve these memories. We were also delighted to welcome our Academy CEO, Mr Lacey, to watch our performance. WHAT A SHOW! Our Year 6 production of Matilda Jr at Clayesmore Theatre was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We felt incredibly lucky to have performed in such a wonderful venue and are so grateful to Clayesmore School for allowing us to use their theatre free of charge. Over the past six weeks, the children have worked tirelessly, learning lines, songs and choreography both at school and at home- and it truly paid off. Their confidence, talent and teamwork shone on stage, leaving us all amazed and incredibly proud. Miss West and I couldn't be any prouder of each and every single one of them. During Sports Week, our wonderful School Council organised a sponsored marathon, with children taking part in class sessions. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our parents and carers, we raised an amazing amount of money! This fantastic achievement means we can install a large slide on the hill in our school field for everyone to enjoy. Our Reception Class had some very special visitors- adorable baby rabbits! A huge thank you to Cara Roff for bringing them to school and giving the children a memorable experience. The children loved meeting, observing and gently handling the rabbits, showing kindness and curiosity. Friday marked the end of our fantastic Sports Week with an amazing Sports Day! What a brilliant day it was, with a wonderful atmosphere from start to finish. The children enjoyed a carousel of activities before taking part in some exciting races, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to be involved and have fun. At lunchtime, we came together for a whole school picnic with parents and carers, making it a truly special occasion for our school community. Thursday of Sports Week saw an exciting Boogie Bounce Session! I'm sure you've heard about this at home already! (Even I snuck on to have ago!) This had to be a highlight, the children absolutely loved taking part and had so much fun bouncing, moving and burning off energy. Our incredible instructor was enthusiastic and energetic, making the sessions great fun for all.
