Welcome to
Welcome to Blandford St Mary Church of England Primary School. I feel immensely proud to be the Headteacher of this wonderful one-form entry school where children truly are at the heart of everything we do.
We offer excellent standards of care, guidance and support and a high-quality learning environment to support all learners equally. The school upholds an ethos of high expectations which provides children with challenging opportunities where children acquire skills, knowledge and confidence that can be applied to all future learning experiences. These opportunities encourage respect, self-belief, excellence and enjoyment and prepare our pupils for the next stage of their education.

Year 6 have been working incredibly hard in the lead up to SATs, so we made the most of the sunshine this afternoon with a well-earned treat. Thank you Mrs Beaver #primaryschool #year6 #workinghard #wellearned #treat
Today in Year 6 science, we explored how light travels. Using torches and pieces of card with holes, we investigated how light behaves and discovered that it travels in straight lines. By lining up the holes, we could see the light pass through clearly but when they were out of line, the light couldn't get through! A fun, hands-on experience that really helped bring our learning to life. #primaryschool #education #science #light #experiment
