The best thing you can do to support your child at home is read with them everyday. Research shows just how powerful this simple routine is. 

Encouraging your child to be as independent as possible by helping them learn self-help skills like putting their coat on, going to the toilet, washing their hands, doing the buttons up on their cardigan is so valuable too.
