Our Vision and Values

Our Vision and Values

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

Our vision statement is -

Knowing we are loved, we learn and grow to be the best that we can be’.

and this is underpinned by our Biblical statement -

'Let all that you do be done in love'. 1 Corinthians 16:14

Our school values underpin our school Christian ethos.

These are:          Love       Hope       Respect       Perseverance       Responsibility

We create a safe and secure school family, deeply rooted in the Christian Faith, where all adults and children flourish, side by side as learners and people, to be the best that we can be.

Within our school family, we develop confident learners who have a passion and curiosity for learning and a sense of pride in their own achievements and the achievements of others.

Every individual is cherished within our school family and know that they are loved unconditionally, where diversity is celebrated and opportunities for all are constantly sought.

Our school continues on its journey of progressive improvement, building on the need for rigour and determination in recent years, and taking that strength forward as we are ever-progressive and seeking the very best for everybody in our school family.

Our 5 school values

Ace Points

Ace point awards are given in the context of the value being demonstrated and children are rewarded with a token to place in our values tubes in our school entrance hall. These are a visual measure of how we are growing as a school in each of the values. Every class created a banner showing what each value means to us. These are displayed in the hall as a constant reminder of our commitment to these values, which are derived from Bible teaching and emphasise the importance of love in the world.

Our school prayer also reflects our values:

This DSAT bear was presented to our school In January 2020 in celebration of our school joining the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust. This bear is a symbol of the care and friendship our school will experience as part of the Trust.

The children and staff were asked to name the bear!

Amare was the name chosen by the staff and children as “amare” means “to love” in Latin, but it is also said to mean “the Lord said” in Hebrew.

Meet Amare
