Today we were testing with stopwatches how long it takes for 110ml to flow through cups with holes of different diameters.  This mimics blood flowing through arteries with fatty deposits.

Remembrance Day 2020

In our classes we each made something to contribute to the Remembrance Service in school.  Year 6 read extracts from Michael Morpurgo's Warhorse, which showed the difference in mood between the beginning, the middle and the end of the war, as seen through the eyes of the characters of the book.

They also made felt poppies to contribute to the beautiful whole-school display in the hall.

14th September 2020

It has been an absolute pleasure to welcome our new Year 6 children back to school!  Considering that most of them have been out of school for nearly 6 months, they have coped extremely well with being back in a large group again.  On Friday, there was more than one child who didn't want a weekend; they wanted another day at school.

I am also looking forward to our Year 6 Zoom session on Friday 18th September at 4pm.  This takes the place of our normal Welcome to Year 6 information evening.  If you haven't emailed me for a direct Zoom invitation on Torak@blandfordstmary.dsat.org.uk, then please do so before Friday.
